It was two years ago that Michael, Gray and I tried to go up to Hudson Falls for the weekend to go to my friend Harold’s birthday party. Unfortunately, Gray cried all evening, completely refusing to sleep, and we had to leave in the middle of the night to come home. A three and a half hour drive. I think we got home around 5:30 in the morning. Anyway, this year I attempted the trip alone with Gray who is now three.
Gray was awesome! He hardly complained on the long four and a half hour car rides. Torrential downpours and traffic added an hour each way. He went to bed when I told him to. A few very minor squabbles with his cousin aside, he was generally pretty well behaved. I really think he’s coming out of that terrible two stage and becoming downright reasonable.
We had so much fun at the party. He danced for a long time. He was really into the music. On the way home he told me he wanted to be a drummer. Then said, “No. A ‘tarrer’”. It took me a minute to figure out that he was trying to say ‘guitarist’. Is three to young to start music lessons?

Ah, here’s the place or the comments–very cute. He’s got some great moves!
Yes! I’m glad you could see it. The great thing about this is even those that are not on Facebook can see this and comment too.
hahahaha is he waving back at rosemary or shooing her away? i can’t decide.
Yeah, it looks a little like shooing, but I’m pretty sure he was waving at her.
i’m glad gray was so good. a big difference from the last time we tried to take him up there. i really like his dancing.
Yes, a really big difference.
